Native distribution (countries where a plant occurs naturally) is distinct from observation records such as GBIF or iNaturalist occurrences. Observation points are not published in the MVP.
Native distributions may change as sources and taxonomies are updated. PlantMap supports education and research; it does not replace professional identification or conservation decisions.
This site is hosted on Vercel. Standard hosting access logs (such as IP addresses) are recorded as part of normal operation, but PlantMap does not collect personal information through account registration or contact forms. To understand how the site is used, PlantMap uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) in addition to Vercel Analytics. Google Analytics stores cookies in your browser and sends information such as the pages you view and the referring site to Google. This data is not used for advertising. You can opt out through your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
